Capricon 21 Sign

I built the Capricon 21 (www.capricon.org) badge art into a 5-foot tall sculpture. The rocket with wings is sheet steel glued onto pink insulation foam and painted with hammer finish spray paint. The wingspan is 5-foot wide. It is currently hanging on the wall in my studio.

The silver and black background is just painted pink insulation foam, and the whole thing is held up with a 2x4 structure behind it. The background and support structure are, unfortunately, in storage crates.

The piece was displayed at one of the entrances to the convention function areas, just off of Registration. I found out later that it was quite popular to have your picture taken with it.
