Stained Glass Knotwork Ankh by bigblued Stained Glass Knotwork Ankh by bigblued
It was time to make another Celtic knot design in stained glass. But what should I make? I had already done a Triquetra, which has three sides, maybe I should think about doing a four-sided knot.

Later, I was doing research on Egyptian art, looking for inspiration for new pieces and I found an Ankh.

I thought “Aha! I’ll do a Celtic Knotwork Ankh!” And so I did.

I really love the blue glass in this piece. It looked great as I was working on it but it really looked fantastic when I took it outside for pictures. I need to do more pieces in this glass.

11..5" x 6.5", 8pcs
Tiffany Foil Method

Edit: Sold!

Thanks! I've been doing knotwork since...well, lets just say a really long time. In that time, I've worked in just about every medium there is. The knotwork always finds it's way into whatever medium I am working in.

*sigh* I suppose it would be too much to ask you to save this, huh?!

I love it. It's beautiful.
